Two convenience store workers were sent to a hospital Monday night after a pickup truck crashed into a store, according to the store's owner.

The truck crashed into the cashier's station at Snappy Convenience Store, at the corner of 7th Street and Roeser Road, according to the owner, Gilbert Barrota.

One staff member remained in the hospital as of 10 p.m. Monday, Barrota said.

Surveillance video shows a blue pickup crashing into a bus stop bench outside the store, and then into the store itself.

"You work hard to build something like [this store], and one person comes along and destroy[s] everything in minutes, it's just frustrating," Barrota said.

Barrota said police hauled the driver away; police could not be reached for comment Monday night.

Barrota said insurance should cover the costs of the wreck.
