Three men arrested for operating fake marijuana dispensary, police say

PHOENIX - Three men were arrested for allegedly selling marijuana at a fake Valley dispensary.

Sgt. Tommy Thompson of the Phoenix Police Department said officers obtained a search warrant and raided a disguised medical marijuana dispensary Friday evening near north 32nd Street and east Cactus Road in Phoenix.

Thompson said the business was selling marijuana and marijuana-infused muffins, brownies and candy without having a valid license.

Kenneth George Winans,52, Herman Andre Vega, 40, and Jeremy Lee Buford Skidmore, 34, were arrested and booked into the Maricopa County Jail for illegally controlling an enterprise, possession of marijuana for sale, and possession of narcotic drugs for sale.

Vega and Skidmore were also in possession of a firearm and were also booked on possessing a firearm during a drug offense.
