Suspects sought in 2007 robbery, homicide of Circle K security guard

PHOENIX - Two suspects from a 2007 aggravated robbery and homicide are still at large and Silent Witness is asking for your help.

Two suspects reportedly entered a Circle K located at 19th Avenue and Greenway Road around 5:30 a.m. in March 2007.

A security guard in the store was seriously beaten and the suspects stole his gun.

The two suspects seen in the security tape footage fled the scene.

The video above may be difficult for some viewers to watch.

Unfortunately, security footage did not pick up detailed photos of the suspects.

Months later in June 2007, the security guard, identified as 55-year-old Charles Saldate, was shot and killed after arriving home from work.

At the time of his murder, a group of black men were seen leaving the scene in a 1980s white or tan Oldsmobile Cutlass.

Authorities believe the two incidents are related.

The suspects from the robbery are described as young black males around 200 pounds, 5'10'' and 5'11'' tall with cornrow braids.

One possibly has a tattoo of a woman on his forearm and the other may have a cross tattoo on his forearm.
