Suspected drunk driver smashes into Phoenix business

PHOENIX - A suspected drunk driver smashed through the wall of a Phoenix business early Saturday morning.

Police were on the scene at Jeff's Professional Audio Repair near 19th Avenue and Indian School around 2 a.m. after a truck veered off the road, and knocked over a fence before crashing through the wall.

The truck remains inside the building, because there is concern about the structural integrity of the building and concerns that the wall could fall into the roadway if the truck is removed.

Police said the driver is in serious condition and admitted they had been drinking.

Frank Ryba, owner of Jeff's arrived on the scene shortly after.  He told our crews that he is thankful no one was injured and was hopeful to be able to still be open early in the week.
