Suspect throwing rocks flees scene, damages Phoenix police vehicle

PHOENIX - A Phoenix police patrol vehicle was damaged after officers responded to a call of an individual throwing rocks over a fence.

Police report that once they arrived on the scene at 2546 W. Georgia Avenue, the individual got into a vehicle and fled the parking lot, intentionally hitting one of the patrol vehicles.

A second vehicle was also damaged after being hit by the suspect fleeing the area.

Police attempted to stop the individual, but were unable to contact the driver until after unmarked police vehicles spotted the vehicle in the area of 3800 N. 23rd Avenue.

A short foot pursuit ensued and the individual was later arrested.

Police say that the suspect appeared to be under the influence, but no charges had been determined as of late Monday morning.
