PHOENIX - The suspect that was killed in a weekend officer-involved shooting has been identified, Phoenix Police say.
Mark L. Lanza, 23 years old, was standing on the roof of a patio at a Phoenix condominium complex when police arrived in response to a robbery call early Sunday morning.
Police made attempts to get the suspect to comply with them, but ended up shooting the suspect after he pointed his gun at one of the officers.
Lanza, identified later, was shot and killed by police.
Investigators believe Lanza was attempting to enter one of the vacant condos.
Phoenix Police say he had an outstanding felony warrant for robbery.
