Do you think you could rappel down 27 stories among the Phoenix skyline? The athletes with Special Olympics Arizona decided to take their fundraising efforts to new heights Saturday.

Nearly 200 participants got clipped into harnesses and went "Over the Edge" in the yearly event at CityScape downtown.

Athlete Bruce Clarke talked to ABC15 before taking the plunge for himself.

He said, athletes face their fears every single day — so this, is not scary for them.

"The $1,000 dollars that each [participant] has to raise, it supports two athletes for a year," Clarke explained.
