GLENDALE, AZ - RecruitMilitary is hosting a free job expo for job seekers with a military background.
Forty companies will be there ready to hire for local and national work.
This free expo is for veterans, men and women who are transitioning from active duty to civilian life, members of the National Guard and reserves.
Over 500 vets and their spouses have already registered.
The expo will have booths for hiring employers, franchisors, educational institutions and government agencies.
According to a news release, some of the vendors include: Microsoft Corporation, HCA HealthCare, The Home Depot, Military Sealift Command, Goodman Manufacturing Company, Prudential Insurance, the National Veterans Employment Program (NVEP) of the United States Department of Veterans Affairs, DeVry University, Grand Canyon University, Homeland Security Solutions, Airstreams Renewables, Navy Federal Credit Union, the Arizona Army National Guard, Kaplan University, Brown Mackie College, Anthem College Online Military Division, Troy University, Liberty Mutual, Camelback Toyota Scion, Nestle Purina Petcare Company, the Air Force Reserve, G4S Secure Solutions (USA), Goodrich Sensors and Integrated Systems, AutoNation, National Oilwell Varco, BNSF Railway, TriWest Healthcare Alliance, Northern California College of Construction, Union Institute and University, The Refrigeration School, The Art Institutes, the Army National Guard, and Educational Corporation of America - Virginia College.
The expo will take place Thursday March 22, 2012 at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.
The event is a part of President Obama's Veteran Hiring Challenge.
