PHOENIX, AZ - The Phoenix Fire Department rescued a 62-year-old man in critical condition from a trail on South Mountain Saturday morning.
As of 2:34 p.m., there was no new information regarding the victim's condition or the rescue operation.
Phoenix Fire technical rescue crews believe a man suffered a medical episode off the Mormon trail at South Mountain, said Jonathan Jacobs, spokesperson for Phoenix Fire.
The man was believed to be in critical condition, Jacobs said.
Crews used the department's Firebird 10 to perform an air rescue. The victim was transported to a local emergency room.
As of Sunday there was no update on the man's condition.
