PHOENIX - A man accused of kidnapping his 7-month-old son Sunday evening has been taken into custody.
Sgt. Steve Martos said 21-year-old Reyes Holguin was tracked down by Phoenix police and U.S. Marshals Wednesday afternoon near 35th and Northern avenues.
Holguin is accused of kidnapping his son from a home near 20th Avenue and Sherman on Sunday evening after getting into an argument with the child's mother. Holguin then fled.
The child was found safe with family members on Monday, however, Holguin evaded police capture.
Holguin was also wanted in connected with an April 27 homicide in Phoenix , where a 27-year-old man was found dead near 16th and Van Buren streets.
Martos said Holguin was taken into custody without incident, and was booked for second degree murder and additional charges.
