PHOENIX - A semi-truck hauling 35,000 pounds of plastic bags overturned on a Tempe freeway and snarled afternoon rush-hour traffic for about two hours.
The Arizona Department of Public Safety says the big rig rolled at about 4 p.m. Wednesday on a transition ramp on U.S. 60 at Loop 101.
Air15 video showed the semi on its side on a curve of the transition ramp.
DPS officials say the eastbound lanes of U.S. 60 to northbound Loop 101 weren't reopened until around 6 p.m.
They say the driver escaped injury.
Authorities say speed may have been a factor in the rollover.
