PHOENIX - Hundreds attended an SB 1070 town hall Monday night looking for answers from Phoenix city leaders including Police Chief Daniel Garcia.
There was certainly plenty to talk about at Carl Hayden High School.
Hundreds gathered looking for an education on SB 1070 and its impact on the community.
Many families arrived with young children, who sat and listened as their parents waited in line to ask questions.
There was a wide range of questions involving everything from proper documents to racial profiling, but there was one question that was asked several times.
"What is reasonable suspicion?" said a woman while clutching her purse.
"There is no simple answer to that. It is up to the officers," said Chief Garcia.
Waiting to answer the questions was a panel of city leaders including Mayor Greg Stanton, Councilman Michael Nowakowski and Garcia.
"(There were) tough questions, tough questions in there, but good questions," said Garcia after the two hour town hall.
Garcia made it clear to the 200 in attendance that racial profiling will not be tolerated.
