PHOENIX - No word yet on if she'll be quitting her day job, but a Phoenix nurse has turned in her winning $1 million Powerball ticket from the drawing on May 11.
Arizona Lottery officials said Krista Crawley, a registered nurse from Phoenix, purchased her winning ticket from the QuikTrip located at 2450 E. Union Hills Drive in Phoenix.
Officials said Crawley discovered she was a winner on Mother's Day, but waited to speak to a financial advisor to get "all her ducks in a row" before claiming the prize.
Crawley said she is planning to go on a family vacation and invest the rest of her winnings.
Officials said the two $1 million Powerball second prize winning tickets that were purchased in Chandler and Safford from this past Saturday's draw have not been claimed yet.
