Police trying to identify suspect involved in armed robbery of Phoenix 'Gold Rush Store'

PHOENIX - Police are looking for a suspect in an armed robbery that last week at a store in Phoenix.

According to a Silent Witness report, a man approached the employee at "The Gold Rush Store" near 43rd and Dunlap avenues around 12:45 p.m. on April 2.

The suspect reportedly shocked her with a stun-gun like weapon until she agreed to surrender the bag of money, according to Silent Witness.

Officials believe the suspect may have been "lying in wait for the victim."

The suspect is described as a black male between 25 and 30 years old with a thin build, approximately 6 feet tall.
