Police: Person walks into Phoenix Fire Department after being shot

Police are investigating after a person walked into the Phoenix Fire Department with a gunshot wound.

Police were called to the fire station on Saturday after the victim walked in asking for help, a police spokesperson said. It’s believed the person was shot near 23rd Avenue and Camelback Road.

According to police, they're continuing to search for the shooter. A description of the suspect hasn't been released.

The victim is hospitalized but expected to be OK.

No additional information about the incident has been released.
