PHOENIX - Police are searching for a suspect after two people were found shot to death Monday night in Phoenix.
Sgt. Steve Martos said suspected shooter Hector Karaca is considered armed and dangerous.
The Arizona Department of Corrections said he was just released from prison six weeks ago. He served time on charges of theft of means of transportation and hindering prosecution.
According to Sgt. Trent Crump, officers responding to a shots fired call around 11:30 p.m. near 27th Street and Indian School Road found the victims' bodies.
Kristen Furgeri, 17, and Jose Villa, 25, were found shot in a bed in a small residence behind a home in the area.
Witnesses reportedly saw a man running from the couple's residence shortly after the shots were fired.
Crump said additional witnesses in the neighborhood saw a man enter Villa's vehicle and flee the scene.
Villa's 2005 Hyundai Elantra was found Tuesday morning abandoned near Buckeye Road and 19th Avenue.
Anyone with information regarding the shooting is urged to call Phoenix police or Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
