Police docs: Terrance Andrei Fizer, Valley dance instructor, admits to sexual relationship with teen

PHOENIX - A Valley dance instructor faces several sexual abuse charges after reportedly having a relationship with a 15-year-old dance student.

Terrance Andrei Fizer, 28, was arrested on May 4 by Phoenix police after the victim's parents detained him at their Phoenix home, according to police records.

Fizer, a dance instructor at Bricks Studio located near 48th Street and Indian School Road, was at the victim's house to talk to her parents where he admitted to taking the girl's "virginity," according to court documents.

"We discovered some messages from Terrance to my daughter that were very inappropriate," the victim's mother tells ABC15.

The suspect reportedly admitted to police that he exchanged explicit text messages and pictures with the victim, and then had sex with her in April.

"He admitted everything to me. And he admitted to knowing her age. He admitted to knowing what he did was wrong," she said. Police documents show the suspect admitted it to detectives as well.

The victim's mom said her daughter thought she was safe with Fizer.

"She thought she could get herself out, because she did know him and she did have some trust. But at that point it was too late," she said.

While ABC15 is not identifying the mother, she says she is sharing her daughter's story because she wants it to serve as a warning to other parents.

"It doesn't happen in one way. It can happen in many different ways. Did he ever approach your child on Facebook, on Instagram? Does he have your child's number, has he ever texted?" she said.

Documents show the suspect also admitted to having a relationship with a 16-year-old at least six years ago in Avondale while teaching dance at a high school event.

The victim's mother said she hasn't received any communication from the dance studio. Other parents whose children attend Bricks Dance Studio told ABC15 that haven't heard anything from studio officials either.

ABC15 has reached out to the studio, but has yet to hear back.

Fizer was booked on four counts of sexual conduct with a minor, one count of luring a minor for sexual exploitation, two counts of sexual abuse and one count of sending explicit material to a minor.

He has since been released on a $12,000 bond and was ordered to wear an electric ankle monitor.
