PHOENIX - Police have arrested a man in connection with a double shooting in Phoenix in late April.
Marshon Garth, 23, was arrested Friday on suspicion of first-degree murder, aggravated assault and kidnapping after he allegedly shot at two people, killing one.
The female victim was working as an exotic dancer near 35th Avenue and Baseline Road when she allegedly agreed to engage in a sex act with Garth in exchange for $400.
Garth reportedly got into a fight with the woman over the payment, prompting her to call her boyfriend, Michael Ray Gauer.
As Gauer and the woman were leaving, Garth allegedly shot at both of them, fatally wounding Gauer and causing him to crash his car into a tree.
The woman survived the shooting and crash. Garth denied involvement in the incident, according to a police report.
