PHX man arrested for bestiality intentions after posting Craigslist ad

PHOENIX - A 22-year-old man was arrested Tuesday on charges relating to bestiality, according to Maricopa County Sheriff's Office.

The man, identified as Donald Waelde, had reportedly placed a "missed connections" ad on Craiglist looking for a horse "to play with...," according to officials.

A Craigslist user contacted MCSO after seeing the ad, beginning an investigation into what the man had conspired to do.

Undercover deputies had a conversation with the suspect during which he stated the sexual act he wanted to perform on the horse, also agreeing to meet with the undercover deputy.

The detective brought an MCSO horse as a prop to meet the suspect near Anthem, according to a press release.

At this time, the suspect was taken into custody for conspiracy to commit bestiality.

The suspect reportedly admitted to placing the Craigslist ad and stating his intentions, MCSO said.

According to MCSO, this is the fourth Craigslist-involved bestiality case for MCSO since 2011.
