Phoenix police searching for armed robbery suspect

PHOENIX - Authorities are asking for the public's help locating a suspect believed to be involved in multiple armed robberies around the Valley.

Phoenix Police Sgt. Steve Martos said the suspect began these robberies at Home Depot and Food City parking lots.

Martos said he approaches Hispanic males and solicits them to do work for him. Once the victims enter his vehicle, the suspect pulls a weapon and robs them.

Authorities said the robberies occurred from November 2013 to April, 19 2014.

Police said the suspect is said to speak Spanish and is now targeting individuals walking down the street. 

Authorities believe the suspect is targeting primarily Hispanic males and enticing them into his vehicle with a promise of paying them for work.  

The suspect is described as a Hispanic male, 25-35 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 200-250 pounds.
