PHOENIX - A 26-year-old man has been arrested after he allegedly set up to meet men in their homes for sex, then tied them up and robbed them.
Luis Miguel Valenzuela is facing multiple counts of armed robbery, kidnapping and endangerment.
Phoenix police say detectives became involved in the investigation in early June, saying the incidents occurred during June and July 2013.
Investigators found that the suspect used social media sites and phone applications catering to men seeking other men for sexual activity.
Valenzuela used his photo in his profile and began to meet men at their homes, according to police.
The suspect would get into the victim's home and they would have sex, after which Valenzuela would allegedly rob the victim. Police say he would then let two to five other people into the home to help take items of value.
Police say the victim would be bound before the suspects left the scene.
Detectives identified Valenzuela as the person who set up the meeting with the victims and believe there may be between 30 and 40 additional victims of this suspect and his accomplices.
Anyone who may know this suspect and believes they were his victim are urged to contact the Phoenix Police Department at 602-256-4362.
