Phoenix police investigating homicide in Central Phoenix

PHOENIX - Phoenix Police is asking for the public's help to find a suspect after one man was killed Saturday afternoon at the 6000 block of South 22nd Lane in Phoenix.

When police arrived they found a victim lying on the sidewalk.

The victim was taken to an area hospital, but died from his injuries.

Police were able to talk to a witness who states she heard a gunshot inside of her home. When she walked out of her home to investigate, she heard another gunshot and heard yelling, police said.

The victim said she saw a black male fleeing the area on foot.

Police have not been able to locate a suspect after searching the area.
