Phoenix police investigating home invasion, victim tied up and put in bathtub

PHOENIX - Officials are investigating after a home invasion Friday morning in Phoenix.

According to Phoenix police, the home invasion happened around 3:00 a.m. near 31st Street and Thomas Road. Two suspects, one with a mask made entry through an unlocked door.

The suspects tied the homeowner up, beat him and then put him in a bathtub with no water, police said.

The suspects were inside the home for approximately one hour and got away with jewelry and other valuable items.

 Phoenix police said the suspect's left in a 2013 white pickup truck with an Arizona plate "AYV8813".

The 59-year-old man was able to free himself and walked to a nearby store to call 911. He was taken to the hospital to be treated for his injuries.

There is no description of the suspects at this time.
