PHOENIX - Authorities say a woman has died after suffering some sort of trauma inside a Phoenix home Friday afternoon.
Police were called to a home near 27th and Glendale avenues around 1:30 p.m. Friday and found the injured woman, according to Sgt. Steve Martos with the Phoenix Police Department.
The woman was transported to a local hospital where she died, he said.
Authorities identified the woman Saturday morning as 46-year-old Lovette Gallegos.
Individuals inside the home at the time of the incident reportedly told police that they "heard a commotion in another room" and then found Gallegos and called police, said Martos.
Homicide detectives are looking to interview other people who may have been inside the home during the time of the incident, according to a police report.
