PHOENIX - One person has died in a rollover crash Tuesday in Phoenix.
Phoenix Police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said a 2005 Ford van was traveling westbound on Baseline Road when the driver lost control shortly after driving through the 24th Street intersection.
The 29-year-old driver crossed the center median and the vehicle rolled over, according to Thompson. The driver and passenger were transported to a local hospital where the passenger succumbed to his injuries.
Thompson identified the passenger as 31-year-old Leonardo Carrizoza.
The intersection at 24th Street and Baseline Road remains closed, as of 3:45 p.m., due to the investigation, according to Sgt. Steve Martos, spokesman for the Phoenix Police Department.
Authorities are still investigating what led up to the crash.
