Phoenix man, Calvin Deshawa Siah, accused of raping, sodomizing woman with air pump

PHOENIX - A Valley man is facing sexual assault charges after having nonconsensual sex with a woman and sodomizing her with an air pump.

According to court paperwork, in September of 2006, Calvin Deshawa Siah, 26, and his three friends met two women and invited them back to his apartment near 55th Street and Thomas Road attempting to recruit them as prostitutes.

The documents state, once at the apartment, Siah took one of the women, who was extremely intoxicated, to the bedroom where she passed out. While the victim was unconscious, Siah allegedly sexually assaulted her, and with one of his friends, sodomized her.

The second female reportedly walked in on the suspects and her friend, and was then fondled against her will.

According the the documents, when contacted by police, Siah denied knowing the victims, saying he had never met either of them before.

Siah was identified in November 2013 when his DNA was linked to evidence in the rape kit.

A search was initiated for Siah and he was located on Monday at his home near 83rd Avenue and Indian School Road and was taken into custody.
