PHOENIX - A woman had to be rescued of a Phoenix mountain Sunday morning due to an injury.
Phoenix Public Information Officer Larry Nunez said crews responded to the Cholla trail on the eastside of Camelback Mountain after a woman in her 30s hurt her ankle.
Paramedics used a rescue basket and "big wheel'" to remove the woman from the mountain. The woman was transported to a local hospital for treatment, said Nunez.
The rescue took approximately one hour.
