Phoenix couple married by Paul McCartney share their story

PHOENIX - A Phoenix couple will have quite a story to tell "till death do they part."

Adam Kowel and Andrea Copado were at Tuesday night's Paul McCartney concert at US Airways arena.

Andrea is a mega McCartney and Beatles fan and wanted to do something to grab the superstar’s eye.

Adam already had proposed in December, 2013 and wedding planning is in full swing so Andrea decided to take an early leap of faith.

She made a sign and the two held it up at the show reading: You're ordained... We're engaged. Please marry us tonight!

"He saw our sign, acknowledged us, it was incredible right there," Adam said.

Sir Paul didn’t just see the sign, he brought the couple up on stage.

He told them he’s not really ordained, but when Andrea told him she read online that he was, McCartney agreed to do it asking each of them if they take one another to be husband and wife.

After both said ‘I do’ McCartney pronounced them married and gave them the go ahead to seal it with a kiss.

He is in fact ordained through the Universal Life Church.

Several people all over the arena recorded the moment on their cell phones and quickly posted the videos to YouTube.

The couple even invited Sir Paul to their October wedding ceremony in Chicago.

They say the whole night feels like a dream.

"Did that just happen, did we just meet Paul McCartney, and did he just marry us?" Andrea said, “We met a Beatle!”
