PD: Wreck knocks out power in Phoenix

PHOENIX - Police say several residents were without power Thursday night after a man crashed his car into a power pole.

The incident happened around 7 p.m. near 35th and Northern Avenues.

Phoenix police spokesman Tommy Thompson said a man leaving a Jack in the Box hit the gas instead of the break and struck the pole knocking out electricity for about an hour.

Thompson said there are no reported injuries at this time.
