PHOENIX - A jailed woman facing a murder charge in Phoenix now is accused of trying to hire someone to kill four people in her case.
Phoenix police said Wednesday that 20-year-old Bernadette Beanes has been re-booked on suspicion of conspiracy to commit murder.
Police say Beanes allegedly offered to pay undercover detectives $20,000 to kill four victims or witnesses in her case including a 9-year-old boy.
Beanes pleaded not guilty to charges stemming from a kidnapping and abduction last May in west Phoenix.
Beanes is accused of helping a man kidnap a woman and 3-year-old son. The man later shot himself to end a 12-hour police standoff.
Prosecutors say Beanes faces a murder charge because the man died in the commission of a felony she's accused of participating in.
