PD: Tuesday morning break-in trashes BalszElementary School library

Police are investigating an early Tuesday morning break-in that left a Phoenix school library trashed.

Little property appeared to be stolen at Balsz Elementary School, said James Holmes, spokesman for the Phoenix Police Department, but books, craft materials and trash was scattered throughout the library.

One laptop was damaged in the incident and a window was broken, he said.

School officials said surveillance video of the incident was currently being investigated by authorities.

Balsz Elementary School is located near 44th Street and McDowell Road in Phoenix.

No other details were released.
