PHOENIX - Authorities said a young girl is going to be OK after a suspected drunk driver crashed his car through her bedroom overnight.
Phoenix police said the driver of a black BMW lost control of his vehicle, drove through a fence and crashed through into the girl's bedroom near 67th Avenue and Camelback Road.
Sgt. Trent Crump of the Phoenix Police Department said 26-year-old Daniel Sanchez Patino then fled on foot, but was arrested about a block away.
The mother of the little girl said the vehicle just missed her daughter, but did damage some of girl's furniture.
Authorities said 911 operators first started receiving calls regarding an erratic driver near 69th Avenue and Camelback Road. Then received calls about the crash a few minutes later.
Patino was arrested and booked on charges of criminal damage, leaving the scene, extreme DUI and endangerment.
