Police are looking for a man who took off after a shooting in Phoenix overnight.

According to information at the scene near I-17 and Dunlap, the incident began just after 2 a.m. with an argument in the parking lot of Bobby Q's restaurant.

The suspect, described only as a black man, then shot a 26-year-old Hispanic man in the lower torso, leaving him with serious injuries.

Police say the suspect took off in a red Pontiac and has yet to be located.

Staff from Bobby Q's prevented ABC15 staff from providing you with the latest video from the scene. While in the area, Bobby Q's staff shined flashlights into our camera to stop us from filming. They also cursed at our journalists and made insensitive remarks. ABC15 along with other local media was in the proper staging area, but that did not stop Bobby Q's staff.

Bobby Q's released the following statement to ABC15 after learning about the incident:

Last night was a dangerous and unfortunate situation for our guests, staff and neighbors. At the time of the incident, we’ve been told that our staff acted inappropriately toward representatives of the media. Although our employees were placed into a stressful situation, we recognize that this was uncalled for and we sincerely apologize.
