PHOENIX - One person shot during an attempted robbery of an armored vehicle in Phoenix has died, according to police officials.
The shooting happened outside a Wells Fargo bank at 7th Street and Glendale Avenue around 9:30 a.m. Friday.
Air15 video showed a Garda armored car stopped near the drive-through lanes of the bank.
Phoenix police Sgt. Steve Martos said employees were changing out a money box at an ATM when two suspects approached them. One of the armored vehicle employees shot one of the suspects and the other suspect ran from the scene.
That suspect shot has since died, according to Martos.
Martos said officers set up a perimeter from 7th to 12th streets and Glendale to Maryland avenues in search of the second suspect. As of 2 p.m., the suspect had not been located.

That suspect has been described as a Black male between 20 and 25 years old, wearing a gray shirt and baggy pants. Police believe he may still be armed.

Three officers could be seen in Air15 video searching with dogs in the backyard of a home in the neighborhood.
Video from an ABC15 crew showed a rifle on the ground under a vehicle near the scene. It is unclear who the weapon belonged to, but police say they believe the suspect still on the loose may be armed.
Police are asking people who live and work in the area to stay indoors if possible.
