PHOENIX - A motorcyclist suffered critical injuries in a Phoenix crash Friday afternoon, according to authorities.
Phoenix police Sgt. Tommy Thompson said a Triumph motorcycle was traveling north on 44th Street, north of Camelback Road, when it collided with a Nissan Cube which was crossing 44th Street, west to east, from one business to another.
Thompson said the 37-year-old male motorcyclist was wearing a helmet but suffered critical injuries.
The 64-year-old driver of the Nissan Cube was not injured, but her two teenage passengers suffered minor injuries.
Thompson said impairment did not appear to be a factor on the part of the vehicle’s driver.
Northbound 44th Street from Camelback Road has been restricted for much of the afternoon but should be open around 5:30 p.m., according to Thompson.
