PHOENIX - Police say a bicyclist has died after colliding with a car in Phoenix Wednesday night.
Authorities say the accident happened around 6:30 p.m. near 28th Avenue and McDowell Road.
According to police, a 4-door Dodge was driving eastbound on McDowell Road when a male bicyclist riding southbound collided with the car.
Police told ABC15, the man was not in an intersection when he was hit.
Authorities said the bicyclist was taken to a local hospital where he later died.
No one in the car was injured.
The name of the bicyclist is not being released at this time.
Police are still investigating, but do not believe impairment was a factor.
