PD: 2 people found dead in Phoenix home Tuesday

PHOENIX - A welfare check Tuesday night near 7th Street and Dobbins in Phoenix led to the discovery of two bodies inside a home. Phoenix Police are now investigating this as a double homicide.

"We received a call that ultimately ended up coming in from family members of those who reside at the residence," said Phoenix Police Sergeant Trent Crump.

"They arrived at this location, ended up making some phone calls from out in front of the house, weren't getting an answer from inside, but felt based on the vehicle that was in the front driveway that somebody was there," said Sgt. Crump.

Those family members ended up going inside the home, and found two deceased adult male victims. Police say they hadn't heard from the men for a while.

"The only other thing that we have tied to this, is this afternoon about one o' clock we had a call from near this location, it actually came in as an anonymous call to police from the intersection of 7th Street and Dobbins, from a caller who said there was a shooting at this location," said Sgt. Crump.

Because of the vague address given by the anonymous caller, officers were not able to locate anything at that time. They are still trying to determine whether the time frame for that call matches the time of the deaths.

At this time, it is unclear how the victims died.

"There is obvious trauma to the bodies, but without moving them, without getting farther into this, it is difficult at this time to tell what the cause of death actually is."

At this time, police do not have any information on a motive or any suspects.
