PHOENIX - A deadly motorcycle crash Monday night closed streets while Phoenix police spent hours trying to figure out what went wrong.
Police initially said a car tried to turn left onto Roosevelt Street near 75th Avenue and hit the passing motorcycle.
The motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital and a few hours later was pronounced dead.
Police said the driver and witnesses stayed on the scene to give accounts of what happened.
Officers had not yet figured out who was at fault.
The intersection was expected to be closed into early Tuesday morning.
