PHOENIX - Passenger traffic at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport is down for the sixth consecutive month.
Recently released statistics show Sky Harbor's numbers fell 2.5 percent in November from a year ago.
Year to date through November, passenger traffic is down 0.7 percent to 36.8 million passengers.
For Phoenix fiscal year which began in July, passenger traffic is down 2.2 percent from the same period a year ago.
Analysts say Sky Harbor has been hit hard from airline flight cutbacks brought on by the recession, high fuel prices and mergers.
According to the Federal Aviation Administration, Sky Harbor was the only airport among the top 10 busiest in the U.S. to report a decline in passengers in 2012.
Statistics for 2013 won't be released until July.
