A youth center is re-opening Wednesday at a new location after they were targeted by an arsonist.

The one.n.ten youth center will now be located at the Parsons Center for Health and Wellness off of Portland Street and Central Avenue.?

Back in July, police say Darren Beach intentionally lit the organization's previous location on fire.

However, expansion plans had already been underway, according to Development Director Travis Shumake. ?

Shumake says after the fire, donations poured in from community partners, non-profit organizations and complete strangers.

"We were receiving donations from all around the world," said Shumake. "Anywhere from $5 to $50 -- so that was over 100,000 dollars."

The new location is about double in size and is just feet away from the light rail -- making it more accessible to youth across the Phoenix Area.

One-n-ten offers daily programs and support services for LGBTQ youth and young adult ages 14-24.
