PHOENIX - Odds are you've probably seen a car commercial offering low prices and great deals. But when exactly is the best time to buy a new car?
Whether you desperately need a new car, or have been trying to find an excuse to buy one, car experts say now is the best time to buy.
"There are whoppers of incentives and rebates, the best we've seen from all of 2013," claims Jim Prueter with AAA Arizona.
It's that time of year when dealerships need to hit their quota and push the 2013 models off the lot to make room for the 2014 models. There are a few helpful tips for the average consumer.
First of all, look for cars that are going to be discontinued or drastically change their body styles. Prueter says that these will offer the biggest rebates. This information can be found by doing research online before heading to the dealer.
Also check the demand where you live in the country. It is possible that some areas of the country have a surplus of one type of vehicle such as a truck or sedan.
At Sanderson Ford in Glendale they are offering rebates up to $8,000 dollars on select trucks.
If you are not looking to shell out all the cash for a new vehicle, Prueter says to look at used vehicles. "There are some fantastic lease expirations so those cars are coming back now this time of year."
