New Phoenix tourism ad hopes to motivate new visitors

PHOENIX - Would this ad motivate you to come and visit Phoenix? Phoenix tourism leaders hope so.

Called "This is Phoenix," the new ad was but together by Visit Phoenix and the Greater Phoenix Convention and Visitor's Bureau.

Many local hotspots are showcased in the two-minute spot. Including Camelback Mountain, Papago Park, Downtown Phoenix and Crescent Ballroom.

Tourism officials said the goal of the video is to attract new visitors to the area during the Fall.

Valley tourism has been a growing industry so far in 2014.

Employment numbers vary depending on the season, but so far Phoenix has averaged 7,000 more jobs a month than in 2013.

Tourism is one of Arizona's leading industries. Officials said the industry generates 19.8 billion dollars a year in Arizona, and 12 billion dollars here in the Valley.
