Police are searching for a man accused of stealing a cash register from a Mexican food restaurant near 19th Avenue and Osbron Road.
According to officials, on March 3 shortly before 10 p.m. a man entered the Armando's Mexican Food restaurant.
The man tried to rob an employee of the business while at the drive-thru window. The employee did not follow the man's orders, and the man then entered the restaurant. He was armed and demanded money from the cash register.
The man jumped the counter, took the register, which had $120, and fled in a black Nissan Altima.
Police describe the man as being 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs about 160 pounds; he was last seen wearing a long-sleeved shirt with denim pants and a black ski cap.
