Man in custody after allegedly setting Phoenix apartment fire

PHOENIX - A man is in custody after allegedly setting a Phoenix apartment complex on fire on Thursday morning.

According to officials, the fire started just after 4:00 a.m. at a vacant apartment complex at 22nd Street and Van Buren.

Officials said two squatters, a male and female got into an argument. The male threatened to burn down the building.

The woman left the area and when she came back the apartment was on fire, officials said.

The man was taken into custody for questioning regarding the fire.

No other information was given.
