A Valley man decided to take matters into his own hands after he spotted a man, exposing, touching and masturbating at a bus stop in Phoenix.

Sergio Morning had just dropped off his two young stepdaughters at school near 7th Avenue and Buckeye Road on May 12 when he spotted what was happening.

"There's so many people at 7:30 in the morning just driving by,” he said.

Armed with his cell phone, he confronted the man who had his pants down around his ankles.

"I started screaming at him, calling him names, and just trying to divert his attention from doing what he was doing, and it actually worked,” he explained.

In the video, posted on YouTube, Morning is heard yelling.

“You better pull your pants up or I'm going to beat you,” he said in the video.

So the man took action because he says there were children just feet away from spectacle. After a few minutes the man in the video stands up and pulls up his pants. Morning tipped off police about the ordeal and officers arrested Elbert Freeman, 39, on one charge of public indecency.

ABC15 obtained court records that show Freeman has been arrested for aggravated assault, theft, forgery, and trespassing before.

Morning is glad the bus stop ordeal ended when it did.

“If I drive and something happens, then it's on me," he said. "That's on everybody who drove by, and who's to say enough is enough?"
