PHOENIX - The jury in the Jodi Arias trial has reached a verdict finding her guilty of first-degree murder.
First-degree murder carries a penalty of death, natural life, or life with the possibility of release after 25 years in prison.
If Arias is given the death penalty, she would become the fourth woman on Arizona's Death Row. She would join Wendi Andriano, convicted for the murder of her terminally ill husband; Shawna Forde, convicted in a robbery murder case; and Debra Milke, convicted for the murder of her 4-year-old son.
The jury also could have considered lesser charges of second-degree murder and manslaughter.
The penalty phase of the trial will begin Thursday at 1 p.m. at which time the jury will decide if she should be sentenced to death.
