PHOENIX - Testimony in the Jodi Arias trial will resume Thursday morning after the proceedings had to be abruptly canceled Wednesday when a witness fell ill.
The jury was excused just before noon Wednesday after domestic violence expert Alyce LaViolette began feeling sick and had to leave the court room.
LaViolette spent much of Wednesday morning continuing her testimony about the nature of Arias' relationship with former boyfriend Travis Alexander.
A court spokesman said the trial will pick back up at 9:30 a.m. Thursday.
Arias is accused of killing Alexander by stabbing him 27 times, slashing his throat and shooting him.
If convicted, she could face the death penalty.
