An alert homeowner returned home to find two young burglary suspects jumping out of his windows last week.

Court documents show that on the afternoon of Feb. 1, a man was returning to his house near 32nd Street and McDowell and saw two teens jumping out the window of his ransacked home.

Police say 19-year-old Miguel Dominguez and 18-year-old Edgarado Esgarsega ran out of the home while the homeowner pursued them down the alley.

Police say Dominguez turned and fired his handgun at the homeowner.

Police responded to the area and spotted the two suspects running through several backyards properties.

No one was injured, but police did find out that the two were also responsible for burglarizing another home in the same neighbor that afternoon.

They managed to take some ammunition, a knife and some clothing.

Esgarsega has been charged with criminal trespassing and burglary. His partner Dominguez faces the same charges, plus aggravated assault.
