Local organizers with Enroll America say when enrolling, there are a couple of things people need to watch out for.

"When picking a plan, if someone has a chronic health condition, we want to make sure that we are picking a plan that will cover the cost of those treatments. We want to make sure that those individuals doctors are in the network that they choose and we want to make sure that prescriptions are covered underneath those plans," said Cheryl O'Donnell.

In order to avoid fines for not having health insurance, people have to be signed up by March 31.

However, officials say people do not have to be entirely finished with the process, just registered on the site.

The Obama administration says they are giving people who are registered by March 31 a grace period to fully complete the enrollment process.

But here in the Valley, O'Donnell says even registering on healthcare.gov can be difficult for some.

"To register you have to have an email address, many of the families we are helping don't even have an email address so we are really starting at the beginning of the process. Getting them an email, getting them an account set up before we even start looking at plans," said O'Donnell.

People have until 9 p.m. Arizona time to register with healthcare.gov .
