PHOENIX - A Glendale man accused of murder and burning and dumping the body in the central Arizona desert has been sentenced to 25 1/2 years in prison.
Maricopa County prosecutors say 32-year-old Daniel Griffith was sentenced Thursday.
He received a 22-year prison term for second-degree murder, two years for abandonment and concealment of a dead body and 1 1/2 years for fraudulent use of a credit card.
All of the sentences will run consecutively.
Griffith pleaded guilty to the charges last month. His wife, 31-year-old Jennifer Griffith, awaits trial in the case.
The couple was arrested in February 2012 after the burned body of a missing Phoenix man was found dumped near the White Tank Mountains.
Authorities say Daniel Griffith tried to use the victim's credit card soon after the killing.
